Springbok (venison) Carpaccio…Slivers of delicious smoked Springbok served on a bed of crisp lettuce with tomatoes and parmesan. R59

Malay Prawn & Fish Cakes…Piquant fresh white fish and local prawns, blended with Peppadews, coriander and green curry. A light and delicious start to your evening! R52 Also available in main course R85

Traditional Cape Curried Fish… Locally caught hake, in a piquant curry and herb sauce served with a garnish of fresh green salad. R46 Also available as a main course R85

Three Course Special... Starter, main course and dessert R169 selected from the following:

Starters: Green Salad, Soup of the day, Springbok carpaccio, Malay shrimp and fish cakes or curried fish

Mains: Cape Malay Chicken Pie, Ostrich bobotie, Lamb bredie, Chicken curry, Beef"boer"-guinon, Prawns & Fish caces, Curried fish or Lamb shank pie

Desserts: Chocolate Brownies,Amarula Toffee Pudding, Preserved Fruit, Ice Cream, Irich Coffee, Dom Pedro or a mini cheese platter. (mini cheese platter only available with 3 course special).

Vegetarian Platter... a selection of the day's seasonal vegetables, a slice of vegetarian quiche and a plump baked potato with grated cheese and a side salad. R69

Cape Malay Chicken Pie ... herbs, spices and the most succulent flaked chicken, gently baked to perfection. Served with seasonal vegetables and sweet chilli sause. R79

Desserts

Chocolate Brownies…Decadent chocolate pecan nut brownies drenched in a hot chocolate sauce with a dollop of ice cream. R45  

Traditional Amarula Toffee Pudding…A delicious dark-baked pudding soaked in our creamy Amarula sauce. One of our all-time favourites! R44  

Preserved Fruit…Ouma’s speciality…fresh fruit from her own garden,  preserved in her secret syrup. Served with delicious vanilla custard or ice cream. R43

Ice creamThe old favourite served with our home made hot chocolate sauce or a berry jus.      ( We just HAD to get a “Jus” into the menu somewhere! J) R39

Dom Pedro... A South African "Staatmaker"...made with ice cream and whiskey or kahlua. Somewhere between a drink and a dessert! R47

Irish Coffee... not mush to be described! R42

And to end the evening...

Cheese Board…  A selection of local, award winning Fynboshoek cheeses with preserves, paté, olives, peppadews and crackers. Served with a wee dram of Muscadel. R64
